When we speak of Samos, this is what it comes to our minds: Blue crystal clear sea, pine trees, white blossomed almond trees in the early Spring and late winter, the dark green of the olive trees, the bright green of vineyards, smells of freshness and wild flowers, sweet oranges and grapes, famous wine, high and beautiful mountains, fine stone buildings of many houses, schools, churches and monasteries. We also think of famous Samos people from the ancient times like Pythagoras and Aristarchus, and of famous historic monuments (temple of Hera (The Heraion of Samos), Eupalinos tunnel of Samos).
