We are looking for a new researcher to strengthen our research capabilities on system security. Within iMinds-DistriNet, we gather more than 30 researchers working on multiple research challenges in topics such as mobile platforms security and privacy, system security, trusted platforms, embedded system security, applied cryptography.
Within our ongoing activities we are seeking for a talented researcher interested in working on at least one of following topics:
Automotive security
Embedded system security
Wearable and Mobile computing platforms security & privacy
Mobile malware prevention and detection
Behavioural biometrics authentication
We apply our findings in case studies in innovative application domains. As a method of work, we usually prototype and build proof of concept to validate our theoretical results. We have technology testbeds in our lab that can be used to support such validations. This is further facilitated also by collaborations with companies leaders in the ICT security field.
This position is a great opportunity for a highly motivated candidate willing to build an excellent research curriculum in 2-3 years time.
We like to stress this is a research oriented position rather than a project-driven, so although you may contribute to ongoing projects, the main goal is to achieve results that can be published on the top conferences and the best journals in the field.
Working in a consolidate team with many researchers that publish regularly on top conferences provides you the critical mass and ideal research environment needed to make an impact and be visible in the community.
